Praise Be! Not Just A PooPourri Chrissie Ad, But One Starring Hippie Super Star, JP Sears!

As regular readers of B&T would know, we like to cover the marketing campaigns of US lavatory deodoriser PooPourri for no other reason than they’re bloody hilarious.

So imagine our joy when not only did the whiff neutraliser unveil its Christmas campaign for the year (although we’re not sure too many would appreciate PooPourri under the tree), it did it featuring YouTube sensation JP Sears joining stalwart Bethany Woodruff atop the latrine.

The ad goes for a whopping five-minutes and features all the usual poo and fart gags you’ve come to expect from a PooPourri TVC, plus the sardonic musings of hippie wannabe, Sears. Check out the hilarity below:

It’s not the first time the company has urged Christmas shoppers to buy some PooPourri as a gift for whiffy loved ones. In 2014’s version it famously had Santa Claus “dropping yule logs down his chimney”.

Commenting on the new campaign, PooPourri’s vice president of creative, Nicole Story, said: “We want to reach people who are sick of wasting money and time on gifts people will never use.

“Literally everyone on your Christmas list can use Poo-Pourri every day—sometimes twice a day. And as more and more holiday shopping happens online, digital is the ideal place to catch them in the middle of the burdensome act.”
