Model Receives Death Threats After Her Hairy Legs Star In Adidas Ad

A Swedish model and photographer who found fame for proudly showing off her hairy legs and armpits has reportedly received rape and death threats after she appeared in a new campaign for sportswear giant adidas.

Model Arvida Byström reportedly received the threats after her ad, for a new range of sneakers, appeared on YouTube. Check it out below:

In an Instagram post, which appears to be getting more attention than the actual ad, Byström wrote she’d “been getting rape threats in my DM inbox”.

In a statement, adidas said it is “honoured to work with creators like Arvida for their creativity, diversity and unique ideas” calling her her as “an artist, photographer, model and cyber sensation, known for her photography, which questions femininity and gender standards using so-called ‘girly’ aesthetics”.
