Royal Jordanian Airlines Advertises Tickets To The US “While You’re Still Allowed To”

It might be a case of a little too late, but Royal Jordanian Airlines has used an ad campaign to poke fun at President-elect Trump.

On Tuesday (pre the outcome) it ran ads that declared “Travel to the US while you’re still allowed to!”, a clear dig at Trump’s election promise to ban Muslims from entering the country. Jordan is a predominately Sunni Muslim nation.

The airline has regular flights to New York, Chicago and Detroit.

Among a raft of horrendous things Trump said during the election campaign, he initially called for a ban on any Muslim entering the US. However, he later softened his language that Muslims would be subject to “extreme vetting” to ensure they had no terrorist sympathies.

Naturally, the President-elect’s comments drew the consternation they deserved and even his own running mate, Mike Pence, spoke out against the idea.
