Ogilvy Melbourne Snares Cadbury Creative From Saatchi & Saatchi

Following a competitive global creative agency pitch and detailed review, VCCP London has been appointed the global lead for Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Here in Australia, Ogilvy Melbourne will take on local Cadbury and Cadbury Dairy Milk campaign responsibilities in Australia and New Zealand, becoming a full service local partner on Cadbury brands, and Cadbury Dairy Milk local activation. The brands include Favourites, Roses, Coco, Old Gold, Cherry Ripe, Picnic, Twirl, Crunchie, Boost and Moro.

Ogilvy remains Cadbury’s partner agency in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Canada. This now consolidates partners working on the Cadbury brand in the region and globally.

Ben Wicks, Mondelez’s global brand director, said the business was looking forward to evolving the creative direction of the brand and creating some truly exceptional work.

“Cadbury is one of our most iconic brands and we’re excited to partner with VCCP and Ogilvy to write the next chapter in the brand’s famous advertising history,” Wicks said.

Over the coming weeks, the businesses will work through the transition from existing Australia and New Zealand partner, Saatchi & Saatchi.

For the past five years Saatchi & Saatchi has been a valued partner and delivered many successful campaigns including Cadbury Dairy Milk ‘Joyville’ and ‘Dominos’, Easter ‘Dawn Bunny, Cadbury Coco ‘Where will you go?’ and more recently Cadbury Favourites ‘Everyone gets their favourites’.

We wish them all the very best for the future and thank them for all the great creative work we have delivered together, Wicks added.
