Spiral pairs up with Twitch

Asia-pacific entertainment and gaming media group, Spiral Media, has announced an exclusive partnership with video gaming community platform, Twitch.

The partnership will allow Spiral the chance to showcase its video advertising on Twitch in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Philippines.

“This relationship ensures we will continue benefiting our clients who are creating gaming products,” Scott Wenkart, CEO of Spiral Media, said.

“Twitch’s strengths include both its niche and mass gaming market focus, enabling our clients to create their own content channels at no cost, while expanding their social platforms, its massive video streams and pre roll inventories.”

Jonathan Simpson-Bint, chief revenue officer at Twitch, added: “Twitch’s global footprint continues to expand with Australia among one of our fastest growing markets.

“Spiral Media understands the rise and important role live broadcasting plays in the gaming industry, so they are the perfect partner for communicating this massive movement to its clients.”

According to the release, one in three people play a video game on a daily basis, Twitch attracts more than 45 million viewers a month
