Corona takes you 'Someplace Else'

Beer brand Corona Extra has launched a 30-minute film to celebrate “the subcultures that sit hand in hand with the Corona Extra lifestyle”.

The ‘Someplace Else’ film is a long-form branded content play by Corona and was created by MC Creative. It features well-known surfers, musicians, skateboarders and artists who are pulled together by the brand and thrown on a bus trip on the back roads of the Mexican coast.

“Their mission is to find the common threads that bind creative souls, and to share a few Coronas along the way.”

Lion brand director Raniero Miccoli said: “Corona has a history of creating compelling content that brings to life the Corona Extra lifestyle and Someplace Else is the latest instalment in this journey – it is about telling great stories from those that Corona drinkers admire and transporting the audience to where they would rather be.”

The video features surfers Ozzie Wright and Dylan Graves, musician Hanni El Khatib, skateboarder Andrew Brophy, and artists Jeff Canham and Rose Ashton.

Strategic print and digital placements are supporting the film. A shorter version of the film is available on YouTube now (see below).
