Clemenger Sydney raids Publicis Mojo

Clemenger BBDO Sydney has nabbed Publicis Mojo’s creative duo, Ian Broekhuizen and Malcolm Caldwell, to boost its creative department.

The duo, who have been at Publicis since 2012 having first partnered at DDB Sydney, have been recruited as creative directors at Clemenger Sydney and join on May 1.

Paul Nagy, executive creative director of Clemenger BBDO Sydney, said: “Ian and Malcolm are proven creative all-rounders with broad awards success and will help to build on the international standard we’re setting here. In the last 12 months we’ve won gold at Cannes, the Spikes, the Asian Digital Festival and Adfest, plus a Grande Lotus at Adfest, so they’re arriving at a terrific time.”

“They’re humble guys, who make genuinely interesting, effective work, and will be great additions to what I believe is one of the most exciting creative departments in Sydney.”

While at Publicist the pair worked on Lion Nathan’s James Boag’s Premium account.

Broekhuizen started his career at Ogilvy Johannesburg while Caldwell kicked his off in the UK with stints at Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and Inferno.
