AFR Magazine goes for triple impact cover

Three front covers feature on the Australian Financial Review Magazine’s annual Design issue, in a campaign sponsored by Lexus.

The three covers feature the theme of the 2013 issue: Dream, Make, Think.

The ‘Dream’ cover features advertising guru David Droga, the ‘Make’ cover shows furniture designer and maker Laura McCusker, and the ‘Think’ cover has a photo of architect Callum Fraser.

The multiple covers are sponsored by Lexus, which is running two full page ads facing the consecutive covers.

Jeni Porter, AFR Magazine editor, said: “In magazine publishing, the impact of the front cover is all important. Giving the Design issue three front covers is a fresh and powerful way to engage our readers, and has provided Lexus with a unique way of showcasing its brand.”

Mandy Reusche, executive business director at TMS, Lexus’ media agency, added: “For the launch of the Lexus IS line, we wanted a powerful and innovative print media execution. We are using the media in a way which allows Lexus to stand out from other advertisers.”
