Starcom Australia has announced the appointment of Sue-Ellen Osborn as the agency’s new trading director for Sydney.
In her new role, Osborn will be responsible for leading the agency’s investment product and team and media relations, working closely with Publicis Media Exchange (PMX). She will also sit on the Sydney leadership team.
Osborn moves across to Starcom from Zenith, where she was group business director. She replaces Tina Gavros, who is moving to Publicis Media’s group investment practice, PMX, as commercial director.
Osborn has more than 15 years’ experience in the media industry, having worked at Initiative before joining Zenith in 2003. She has held various roles at Zenith in account management, and was also Melbourne investment director and group investment director for the agency.
Starcom Australia CEO Tony Barbour said Osborn’s experience as both as group business director and investment director compliments the agency’s client needs.
“Sue-Ellen will be responsible for driving both our brand and client solutions as we seek to simplify the complexity of media and connect to business outcomes,” he said.
Commenting on her appointment, Osborn said: “I’m really excited to take on this important role at Starcom leading the agency’s trading and investment team. The media sector is increasingly complex to navigate, and we aim to ensure clients receive the best advice and media channel choices to drive effective business outcomes.”
Osborn’s appointment is effective from Monday 1 May.
