Ad revenue in the metro radio areas grew 9.3 per cent from the same time last year, to $69.692 million, according to the figures from Deloitte.

“The industry continues to promote radio as an innovative, effective and cost efficient advertising medium and the ad revenue increases across the board are very positive,” said CRA chief executive officer Joan Warner.

The Brisbane market increased the most across the five city metro. This time around it was up 11.7 per cent to $11.149 million.

Melbourne came in second with an 11.46 per cent increase to $21.077 million.

Adelaide was third with a 10.45 per cent rise to $6.095 million.

Then it was Sydney – up 7.78 per cent to $21.922 million,

Perth brought up the rear with a 4.82 per cent jump to $9.410 million.
