Publicis Media has announced that its chief operating officer (COO) for Australia and New Zealand, Chris Nolan, will leave the agency group at the end of May.
Nolan has been with the group since 2005, joining Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) as managing director of the Melbourne office before being promoted to chief executive of SMG and then becoming COO of Publicis Media across the trans-Tasman in 2016.
Nolan is looking to new career opportunities and will be working with Publicis Media’s CEO for Australia and New Zealand, Matt James, to transition his responsibilities in the coming month. The COO role will not be replaced.
Commenting on Nolan’s departure, Publicis Media’s APAC chief executive, Gerry Boyle, said: “I would like to thank Chris for his commitment and leadership contribution to Publicis Media in Australia over the last two years.
“He has helped drive Publicis Media into a position of strength and we will continue to build on this proposition and capability for the future. We wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Commenting on his departure, Nolan said: “I would like to thank my Publicis Media colleagues, both locally and across the globe, for their continued support over the last 13 years and I wish them all the best for the future.
“I would also like to thank the clients that I have worked with. Through helping to grow your businesses, I have remained inspired in all that you have achieved, and I hope you continue to prosper.
“And to the publishers I have worked with, thank you for your partnership, support and encouragement.”
