NOVA Entertainment has announced the appointment of Polly Goodchild as smoothfm’s integration and marketing director for Sydney.

Goodchild will be responsible for building and developing collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, delivering effective and innovative integrated promotions and marketing solutions for clients and the station, and assisting smoothfm to achieve revenue and ratings goals.

With over 14 years’ media experience, Goodchild was most recently the integration manager at Australian Radio Network (ARN) integration manager, leading the Sydney and Brisbane teams and working closely with sales and content to drive revenue opportunities for the business.

Having started her radio career in 2002, Goodchild spent six years working as a campaign specialist with various radio teams. In 2011, she moved to Melbourne to lead ARN’s campaign and integration team. Three years later, Goodchild re-located to Dubai to set up and lead the integration team for the Arabian Radio Network’s nine different stations, and in 2015 she returned to Sydney to take up her most recent role as ARN’s integration manager.

Tony Thomas, NOVA Entertainment’s chief marketing and digital officer, said Goodchild’s extensive media knowledge and experience across integration, sponsorship, media sales and digital will be a great addition to the group’s already experienced and dedicated smooth team.

Polly Goodchild said she is thrilled about making the move to NOVA Entertainment.

“Smoothfm has had tremendous traction in the market and as a brand is a very exciting place for me to be,” she said.

“I am thrilled to be taking on the challenge, working with an amazing and talented group of people and of course, to be working at smoothfm.”

Goodchild will commence in her new role on 4 October.
