Vincent Sheehy has been appointed director, government relations for Australia’s leading public affairs agency, Parker & Partners, part of Ogilvy PR Australia. He will head Parkers’ Canberra operations.
Sheehy brings a wealth of experience advising in government and opposition for more than 15 years to the role, including providing Ministerial advice in the areas of Small Business, Deregulation, Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs, Sustainable Cities, Defence, Veterans’ Affairs, Immigration and Foreign Affairs among others.
Responsible for developing the Coalition’s substantial Small Business policies brought to the 2010 and 2013 federal elections, Sheehy was most recently chief of staff to the Small Business Minister and played a lead role developing the well-received $5.5 billion Federal Budget ‘Growing Jobs and Small Business Package’.
Ogilvy’s PR group managing director- corporate, Susan Redden Makatoa, said Vincent is a welcome addition to the growing Parker & Partners team.

The appointment is effective immediately. Ogilvy PR Australia is a joint venture between WPP and STW, Australasia’s leading marketing content and communications group.
