Award winning artist Emeli Sandé will perform live and exclusively for Nova’s Red Room in Sydney this Thursday 16 February.
The soulful powerhouse is in Australia to promote her new single Highs & Lows from her latest album Long Live the Angels.
The Scottish artist and songwriter came to prominence in 2009 after featuring on rapper Chipmunk’s track Diamond Rings and released her first solo single Heaven in August 2011. Her singles’ Read All About It with Professor Green and Beneath Your Beautiful, a collaboration with Labrinth, both went to number one in the UK and Ireland.
Emeli Sandé’s album Our Version of Events spent ten weeks at number one and became the UK’s best-selling album of 2012 with over 1 million sales. In 2012 she performed in the London Olympics’ Opening and Closing ceremonies and in 2013 won Best British Artist and British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards.
Compared to the likes of Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone, Emeli Sandé will perform to an invite-only audience of guests at Leadbelly in Newtown. Listeners can only win their way to see Emeli Sandé in Nova’s Red Room by tuning in to Nova.
