global self-service ticketing platform Eventbrite and events marketplace, has announced that it has partnered with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne.
The festival – which will run from Friday 27 February to Sunday 15 March 2015 – will host a diverse program of 200+ events celebrating Victoria’s food and wine industry, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees. Eventbrite will also ticket the events that Melbourne Food and Wine supports year-round as part of its “Put Victoria on Your Table” initiative.

Creating a better experience for attendees
Now that Eventbrite is working with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, attendees will find it even easier to discover relevant events through the Eventbrite discovery platform and share these with friends and family via integrated social media tools. Eventbrite has also done away with the hassle of paper tickets and setting calendar reminders, as tickets can be easily accessed on a mobile phone, and reminders are automatically sent ahead of each event.
This partnership is part of the momentum that Eventbrite has seen in Australia since it opened an office in Melbourne in March with a local team. In fact, more than 50% of the cumulative tickets processed and events posted in Australia has happened in the last year, taking the total to over five million tickets and 115,000 events.
