Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Partners with Eventbrite

global self-service ticketing platform Eventbrite and events marketplace, has announced that it has partnered with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne.

The festival – which will run from Friday 27 February to Sunday 15 March 2015 – will host a diverse program of 200+ events celebrating Victoria’s food and wine industry, attracting hundreds of thousands of attendees. Eventbrite will also ticket the events that Melbourne Food and Wine supports year-round as part of its “Put Victoria on Your Table” initiative.

Natalie O’Brien, CEO, Melbourne Food and Wine said, “In the lead up to the 23rd Festival in March 2015, Melbourne Food and Wine is thrilled to partner with Eventbrite. Through our annual Festival and year-round activity we continually strive to demonstrate innovation and creativity through event programming.  By partnering with Eventbrite, a globally recognised events marketplace, we’re leveraging the best in technology and innovation to ensure the best possible experience for both our public attendees and the Victorian food and wine industry hosting events.”

Eventbrite’s International Expansion Manager, Elsita Meyer-Brandt said, “We’re delighted to be working with one of Australia’s iconic and most innovative festivals. The way the event has been able to grow over the last 22 years from a small, grassroots event to an industry leader is exactly what Eventbrite is about – helping event organisers of all shapes and sizes to gather people around common interests and passions.

“As well as working closely with the core festival team, we look forward to working with hundreds of their industry Umbrella Event organisers to ensure they get the best out of our reliable, innovative and robust ticketing tools to sell-out their events.”
