Match Media Appointed To Boost Mobile And Belong

Media buyers Match Media has announced its appointment to the Boost Mobile and Belong business.

This appointment is a result of the agency having worked with internet provider, Belong, in a digital capacity for the past five months, both companies are powered by Telstra with the spend estimated at $10m.

The move by Boost/Belong to consolidate the media strategy, planning and buying into one agency is designed to simplify and enhance their marketing operations.

Ian Blackhall, CMO Boost and Belong said, “We look forward to consolidating and streamlining our agency relationships to drive efficiencies across both brands and believe in Match we have found an ideal partner to take the brands to the next level.”

James Simmons, COO of Match Media added, “We are delighted to have increased our remit across both Boost and Belong. We initially began working with the Belong team on a digital project, to now have the visibility and ability to drive all channels and strategy across both brands is really exciting. Both brands are at different lifecycles and that provides an interesting challenge to give each a market edge whilst providing a great opportunity to drive learnings across brands and increase effectiveness of our communications.”

This win follows the recent appointment of two group client partners, Matt Turl and Louise Willmott as a result of continued growth from new and existing clients.

Also, last week Match was named in the top 20 of the Warc 100: The world’s best media agencies. At 19th place they were the only indie in the mix.
