Julie Goodwin Joins Star 104.5 Breakfast in 2015

Julie Goodwin, MasterChef winner and one of Australia’s favourite home cooks, will join Rabbit as Star 104.5’s Rabbit & Julie Goodwin breakfast show in 2016.

One of Gosford’s most well-known identities, Goodwin has been a special guest on Star 104.5’s Craig & Rabbit breakfast show for the past three months.

Since winning the inaugural series of MasterChef in 2009, Goodwin has become one of Australia’s best-selling authors with the release of five cookbooks, Our Family Table, Heart of the Home, Gather, 20/20 meals and Homecooked Takeaway, is a regular contributor to the Australian Women’s Weekly, is in-demand to appear at food events and on TV and owns Julie’s Place – Cooking School on the Central Coast NSW.

“I can’t even tell you how excited I am to be joining the team for breakfast at Star 104.5. It’s a real “pinch me, I’m dreaming” moment for me, an unexpected privilege and bound to be a lot of fun.  I love the guys and I can’t wait to get started!” Goodwin said.

Rabbit added, “I’m so stoked that we’ve been able to add Julie to the mix. Finally, all these cooking puns I’ve had simmering can rise to the top. Julie and I have had stacks of laughs already, my wife has claimed her as a new ‘best friend’ and we just can’t wait to get into it next year! So many fun times ahead!”

Star 104.5 general manager Paul Moltzen said, “We are absolutely delighted that Julie has joined our team on a permanent basis.

“As Australia’s first MasterChef winner and having survived the perils of the jungle, Julie has achieved High D’s in the prerequisites for breakfast radio…but she is so much more than that, a mother, a wife, most importantly Julie loves, lives and breathes everything Central Coast. It is a pleasure to welcome her to our team.”

Craig & Rabbit will be heard in breakfast until 18 December. Craig has been an integral part of the Star 104.5 breakfast team for the past three years. He will leave the show at the end of the year, to start the next exciting stage of his life early in 2016.
