ADMA 30Below Launches Breakfast Series In SA

The ADMA 30Below community in Adelaide will launch a new breakfast series in mid-October for South Australia’s young marketers, creatives and advertisers.

The first breakfast focuses on emerging technologies and the law.

Luke Dale, Partner at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, will present at the first breakfast on the legal issues that may arise with the increasing use of Snapchat, 3D printing, Google Glass, the Internet of Things and other new/emerging technologies.

“As technology evolves to become more accessible, interconnected and ubiquitous, the once fanciful is now becoming the new norm in enterprise, industry and for consumers. Although exciting, these changes also raise a number of legal issues for businesses and individuals, as laws written well before many of these technologies were conceived are having trouble keeping up with the rapid pace of developments,” said Dale.

The breakfast takes place Wednesday 15 October 2014 at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, Level 21, Westpac House, 91 King William Street, Adelaide. Time: 7:45am-9.00pm.

Luke Dale specialises in intellectual property law with a particular focus on brand protection, technology law, media and entertainment law and trade practice issues including franchising, competition and consumer protection.

He manages trademark portfolios for large corporate clients and helps to protect brands in Australia and overseas. He previously worked in London as an in-house lawyer for Nestléand as head of Legal and Business Affairs for an international television production company.

Cost to attend the breakfast is $15 early bird rate (valid until Friday, 3 October) and $20 after that. The ticket price includes breakfast and juice, tea, coffee. To book, head here.
