RainCheck Appoints Global Vice President Of Strategy and Business Development

RainCheck has announced the appointment of Gaurav Patni as vice president of global strategy and business development.

Based in Sydney, Patni will be responsible for developing opportunities with retail go-to-market partners and seeking opportunity prospects with emerging technologies. He will also ensure that the company’s product roadmap is aligned to the needs of RainCheck customers, thereby improving efficiency in technology development.

Patni has over 18 years’ experience in retail and eCommerce industries during which time he has developed technology-focused innovation programs for global household retail name brand organisations.

He was previously global executive advisor – retail, consumers goods and digital innovation at Oracle where he was responsible for delivering strategic digital transformation programs for retailers across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he worked at David Jones as technology integration leader with responsibility for helping drive digital innovation and competitive advantage through the integration of new technologies.

Patni also worked at Accenture USA as program manager and business architect – retail, consumer goods and digital innovation where he was responsible for program leadership and management of strategic initiatives in retail/eCommerce business transformation, process design and system integration.

Patni has also held IT leadership roles at Nordstrom and JC Penney USA and Tata Consultancy Services, India.
