Keep Left Wins Kathmandu PR Account

PR and content marketing agency Keep Left has announced it has won a competitive pitch for popular consumer retail brand Kathmandu.

With the iconic brand coming into its 30th year, Keep Left was appointed to roll out a PR program that paid homage to Kathmandu’s heritage – growing from a small specialist outdoor retailer in Melbourne’s Hardware Lane to a leading international brand synonymous with adventure and travel.

Keep Left’s remit included concepting and executing an event titled ‘Relive the Adventure’, showcasing the 30 years of worldly experiences that have contributed to Kathmandu’s story, with work spanning PR, event management and graphic design.

The event follows the team’s media relations work, with broad coverage secured, including stories on The Daily Mail, news.com.au and Sunrise.

Keep Left CEO Gillian Yeap said: “We believe that every brand has a human story to tell, and we wanted to take Kathmandu’s customers through an immersive experience of its 30-year brand story.

“The 30th anniversary event ‘Relive the Adventure’ personified the Kathmandu brand, allowing consumers to engage with it on a tangible and emotional level.

“We’re excited to be working on a brand that’s been a central part of our team’s travel adventures over the years.”

The event will provide a platform to launch Kathmandu’s Limited Edition Heritage Collection, paying homage to Kathmandu’s history and highlighting how the gear has transformed for the needs of today’s travellers.
