Joining as head of earned is Laura Barette, who will lead on Magnum & Co’s PR work across all clients, developing best in class practice across the business and providing mentorship to the team.

Laura brings over 13 years’ experience in brand communications on clients including Westfield, McDonald’s, Australian Mangoes, GSK, Banana Boat, IKEA, Singapore Tourism Board and Tourism & Events Queensland. She has previously worked at The Hallway, H+K Strategies, Frank PR and Naked Communications, where she worked alongside Magnum & Co Managing Director Carl Moggridge.

As part of the Leadership team, Laura will also help drive agency and new business development.

Joining her in the Earned team is Rebekah Allison as senior brand leader. Bek has more than eight years’ experience running large-scale consumer campaigns with brands such as Airbnb, Campbell Arnott’s, CBA, Gumtree, Coca-Cola and P&G. She joins Magnum after three years at Herd MSL.

Nicola Hanlon is the newest addition to the Social & Digital team, joining Magnum from WE Communications. As Brand Leader at Magnum & Co, Nicola supports clients with their digital and social strategy, ideation, channel planning, content development, campaign execution and management.

Magnum & Co managing director, Carl Moggridge said: “As we continue to grow it’s important to attract the industry’s brightest talent, and in Laura, Bek and Nicola we’ve done just that. I’m personally delighted they’ve chosen to join Magnum & Co from some of Australia’s leading agencies. They share our ambition, they know what it takes to do excellent work and most importantly, they have fun doing it.”

head of earned, Laura Barette added: “When I met with the guys at Magnum & Co, it was obvious early on that we held the same beliefs and had the same desire to do great work. As a parent returning to the workforce, it was also important to me to find a team that could support me in achieving my professional goals whilst raising a little person. All of this, in addition to having worked with Carl previously at Naked, made the decision to join the team an easy one.

The opportunity for great ideas with earned thinking at the heart of them has never been bigger. I’m looking forward to leading a bunch of talented people to develop a market leading earned offering and create some brilliant work for our clients.”
