ARN teams up with Trafalgar For 4th of July Campaign

Australian Radio Network and Trafalgar teamed up to celebrate the 4th of July in style on Friday, with a special event for five lucky listeners at Sydney’s Café Del Mar who were all vying to be named the winner of ‘The Insider’ campaign and head off on the tip of a lifetime to Northern California.

The event was a celebration of all things American, Miguel Maestre from Ten’s The Living Room worked with the head chef to create an American inspired menu and he also joined the five lucky finalists (pictured above) at the lunch. Host of WS FM 101.7’s Your Song, Richard Mercer was also at the event to announce the major winner with a little help from a pre-recorded video from Jonesy and Amanda. Aspiring travel writer Amanda Ide from Yeerongpilly, QLD was named The Insider. Amanda won flights for two, accommodation, an eight-day Trafalgar guided holiday to Northern California and $1000 spending money. But it won’t be all play – she will be put to work reporting on her experiences and highlights from the trip which will be aired nationally across Sydney’s WS FM101.7, Melbourne’s GOLD 104.3, Brisbane’s 4KQ 693, Adelaide’s Cruise 1323 and Perth’s 96FM.

As part of the tour Amanda will see the famous landmarks of San Francisco, indulge in a wine tasting in Napa Valley, discover amazing Lake Tahoe and relax in the quaint seaside community of Carmel-by-the-Sea on this unforgettable Californian holiday.
