Grey Group Singapore Behind The Rebrand Of e-Cop To Quann

e-Cop, a wholly owned subsidiary of Certis CISCO and one of Asia’s foremost managed security service providers, will begin operations under its newly rebranded name, Quann.

The new name stands for the circle of protection, which is inspired from its DNA as a security company.

e-Cop started as one of Singapore’s most successful cyber security company in 2000 but has evolved into one of the fastest growing security companies in Asia. Rebranded as Quann in 2016, the company provides a comprehensive suite of cyber security services to prevent, detect and rapidly respond to cyberattacks effectively.

The rebranding, carried out by Grey Group Singapore, looks to reshape Quann’s brand identity as it becomes a global player in cyber security.QUANN_Logo_with_Tagline

The agency was tasked to create a new brand identity, brand positioning, launch a new company and to complete a 360 communication launch of the brand across Singapore and Asia.

“The inspiration for Quann came partly from the Technology and Scientific background of the brand. It is a concept with the fusion of energy, light, space and time, which represents a forward-thinking organisation,” said Ali Shabaz, chief creative officer, Grey Group Southeast Asia.

“The symbol with its abstract illusion of balance, and the interplay of Light and Energy illustrates the Art and Science approach of Quann in keeping their clients ‘cyber secure’. Just the perfect synergy,” Shabaz added.

“Cyber security is an issue everyone’s aware of, yet until now, delivering it has mostly been IT’s responsibility, and most of the solutions almost entirely technology-focused. But Quann knows that ‘cyber secure’ starts with your company’s culture, and that to achieve it, you have to elevate the conversation – to the C-Suite. It’s been a challenge and a pleasure to help Quann develop this story and drive this shift,” said Judd Labarthe, VP/global strategy director and head of planning, Grey Group Singapore.

Richard Lau, senior vice president, group marketing & corporate communications at the Certis Group added, “Grey Group Singapore has recognized our issues, and this re-branding will seek to engage and connect with the C-suites of businesses about the presence of a strong home-grown company with what Gartner has described as having a formidable presence that literally dwarfs the global players in the Asia Pacific region.

“Quann is set to make a strong stand on what really matters to businesses when they think of cyber security.”

“This isn’t just a mere make-over, but also an opportunity for us to expand and strengthen our service offerings and to be taken as a force to be reckoned with.”
