Essence Appoints James Luty As Client Partner For Google

GroupM-owend global data and measurement-driven agency Essence has announced the appointment of James Luty as the client partner for Google in Australia and New Zealand.

The newly-created role sees Luty handling client management for Google – the agency’s longstanding client – in the local market.

Prior to joining Essence, Luty was the national head of business growth at Reprise Media. He also previously worked in a number of media roles both locally and in the UK.

Essense Australia managing director Jovy Gill said: “We’re delighted to add James to the continually expanding team. With his wealth of media and client management experience, James is a huge asset to the business.”

Commenting on his appointment, Luty said: “I’m thrilled to take on a role that will allow me to focus on a terrific brand and deliver real value to the client.

“I joined Essence because I was blown away by the level of digital expertise and the quality of work the agency delivers. Other agencies talk about innovation but at Essence, it’s the backbone of everything we do.”
