Chris Platt Named MD Of UM Brisbane

UM Australia CEO Ross Raeburn has announced the appointment of Chris Platt to be managing director of UM Brisbane. Platt will take on his new role in January 2017.

Platt will join UM Brisbane from his role as campaign planning director at George Patterson Y&R. Prior to this he was head of strategy for Carat Brisbane and consultant strategist for Haystac.

“Chris is a rare and brilliant talent. Incredibly diverse experience, from the early days of digital media in London, to years of experience in both media and creative agencies in Brisbane, driving success across iconic brands,” said Raeburn.

“His maturity and experience, coupled with his passion and hunger to champion Queensland marketing and brands, made him the perfect leader of Creative Connections and UM in Brisbane.”

Chris Platt commented, “It has been a very strong year for UM nationally, with some major new business wins and the creation of great work that has resulted in many top awards. I am looking forward to leading the Brisbane team and being part of the wider UM momentum heading into 2017.”
