theright.fit, an online platform that directly connects brands with a variety of fully screened, professional creative talent and influencers, is hoping to put an end to late and non-payments by guaranteeing payment within 48 hours for all talent who book jobs through the platform.

Taryn Williams (pictured above), founder of theright.fit and a Women in Media Awards 2017 winner , has herself experienced what it’s like to not be paid on time, and said the industry has traditionally had a culture of late payments, with the average time from job to payment taking 43 days.

“Late payments and unreasonably long payment terms can significantly affect cash flow and make it difficult for them to continue on in the profession that they love,” she said.

“I have personally been in that position so I understand the challenge that is a reality for many people in our industry.”

“theright.fit is all about empowering amazing creative talent which includes models, influencers, actors, photographers, stylists, videographers, makeup artists and more. It can be hard to find work as a freelancer and talent are traditionally charged a commission on every booking.”

“theright.fit gives talent the tools to build their brand profile online via the site and connects them to jobs that they may have otherwise not found. Timely payment is also guaranteed.”

In addition to this, a new ‘payment request’ function has been introduced which allows talent on the platform to issue an invoice for work regardless of whether the job was booked through the site.
