APN News & Media has appointed Patrick Chaundy to the newly created position of APN Out of Home, South East Asia.
Mr Chaundy will lead APN in all new Southeast Asian markets, with responsibility for business strategy and outcomes, product development, and major partner and client relationships.
APN News & Media chief executive, Michael Miller, said: “Following the full acquisition of Hong Kong Outdoor in July, Patrick’s appointment reflects APN’s ambition to pursue new Out of Home opportunities in the growing South East Asia market.”
“Patrick is a valuable addition to our existing team. He has significant media leadership experience, particularly across the Out of Home sectors, working in numerous geographic regions,” Miller said.
Most recently he was the general manager of Q Media based in Dubai, where he had sales responsibility for the Al Jazeera news channel, out of home advertising, radio, and local television, for these Qatar based assets.
Previously Patrick was CEO for Right Angle Media, running the world’s first air conditioned bus shelter contract. He has also been the group development director for Clear Channel UK with additional responsibility for the Middle East and North Africa.
Patrick will be located in Hong Kong and will report to Mr Miller, with his appointment effective from Monday, October 6.
