GPY&R Brisbane Launches ‘Generator’ Creative Internship Program

Queensland AWARD School students will now be offered an extra incentive thanks to GPY&R Brisbane’s new Generator creative internship program.

Aimed at fostering young creative talent in Queensland, GPY&R will offer three-to-six month paid internships to recent AWARD School graduates.

“The program is about generating world-class ideas as well as generating world-class creative talent here in Brisbane,” said GPY&R Brisbane creative directors Brendan Greaney and Andrew Thompson.

Generator will be offered to students participating in the upcoming 2015 AWARD School commencing in April. At the end of the course, GPY&R Brisbane will select one graduate to take part in the program.

Hanns Bergs of the Communications Council Queensland said: “We’re thrilled that GPY&R are pre-committing to taking on Award School Graduates. Award School recognises the cream of the upcoming creative crop, so any program that supports talented young creative individuals entering the industry is fully supported by the Comms Council.”

AWARD School Queensland 2015 registrations of interest are now open; with application portfolios due by 27 Feb and first lecture on Monday 20 April.
