Carat Melbourne’s Paul Wilkinson Promoted To Head Of Commercial & Investment

Joseph Pardillo (right), managing director of Carat Melbourne, has today announced that Melbourne trading director, Paul Wilkinson (left), will step into the newly created role of Head of Commercial and Investment at Carat Melbourne.

The appointment will see Wilkinson working closely with internal client leads to optimise business and commercial value for clients. Wilkinson, who has been with the agency since 2008, will continue to lead the negotiation and investment strategies of Carat Melbourne’s $400 million plus per annum media spend.

Pardillo said, “Paul’s expanded role will be vital in helping steer our clients’ media and marketing efforts in today’s fast-paced digital economy, beyond just finding the cheapest media rate. He is there to provide an impartial view on opportunities to drive more holistic business ROI, centered on new technology, innovation, and business strategy.”

Wilkinson will continue to report directly in to Pardillo and will also play a key part in the implementation of the agency’s digital acceleration agenda.

Wilkinson said, “I’ve been with Carat Melbourne for almost eight years and we’ve obviously experienced significant growth and change during that time.

“I’m really excited to help further evolve our commercial offering for clients and mobilise the agency toward our ‘Digital 2020’ vision. This is an important challenging time for our clients; it’s critical for us to adapt our leadership accordingly.”
