KFC app returns for longer campaign

KFC’s mobile app Snack! In the Face is back, and it is bigger and better with new challenges and prizes on offer, according to its creators DT and Ogilvy Australia.

The app was originally developed in 2013 as a short-term campaign to engage young gamers with the KFC snack range.

Adam Beaupeurt, DT’s lead strategist, said: “When Snack! In the Face was launched last year, it was only live for several months but managed to generate a huge 21% increase in snack sales.”

“Following that outstanding success, KFC has relaunched the app with new challenges and levels to again capture the imagination of gamers and KFC fans alike.”

Players are able to redeem rewards by showing mobile coupons instore. Those in a sharing mood can also give snacks they have earned to friends via Facebook.

The app also features daily challenges that run in the afternoons.

The campaign runs from March 25 to May 19.
