“Oakley, the premium sports performance and lifestyle brand, has announced a new partnership with leading consumer agency, Magnum PR.

Appointed to manage all PR and communications in Australia, Magnum PR will handle all of Oakley’s product-related PR, along with managing the media for all Oakley sponsored athletes and events.

With its expertise in content creation and placement, Magnum PR will focus on telling the Oakley brand story and placing content across all media platforms across Australia. The leading Sydney-based agency will also manage Arnette, another eyewear brand that sits under the Luxottica umbrella.

Suhana Lye, Oakley PR Manager, says: “We are extremely thrilled to announce our partnership with Magnum PR. We have worked with them previously on a project with one of our top-tier athletes Shaun White, where they delivered above and beyond. When it came time to engage a new Public Relations agency to represent our brands they were the obvious choice. We are excited to work with them on a strategic level and feel this partnership will deliver some great results for both Oakley and Arnette.”

One of the major collections Magnum PR will be focusing on to kick-start the partnership is Oakley’s Heritage Collection. Created for consumers who defy convention, the range is launching in March to celebrate Oakley’s 30th anniversary of performance eyewear. The Heritage Collection will salute the ‘evolution of a revolution’ by bringing back vintage eyewear models, channelling a smooth retro style and respect for sport heritage, for a limited time in 2014.

Established in 1975 and headquartered in Southern California, Oakley is one of the leading global sports brands. With a philosophy of seeking out problems to solve them with inventions and wrapping these inventions in art, Oakley has become one of the most iconic and inimitable brands on the market.
