Clemenger Adelaide recruits five and promotes one after business wins

Clemenger BBDO Adelaide embarked on a hiring spree in late 2012 on the back of new business wins with five new recruits to swell the agency’s ranks.

The creative department has added Jason Hollamby as a senior creative and Tom Opie as copywriter.

Miriam Karsten has been recruited as an account director and Miko Magni is the new digital producer while Alister Robinson replaces Lisa Banks as social media manager.

Account director Erik de Roos (pictured) has been promoted to the agency’s management team.

Kim Boehm, managing director of Clemenger Adelaide, said: “Happily we went through a period of growth last year so we’ve needed more people to cope, but these people also add new dimensions to our agency in the areas of creative strategy, digital project management, social media specialisation and retail marketing.”

The appointments and promotion come after a number of account wins.

Late last year the agency won creative duties for Great Southern Rail and replaced incumbent GPY&R which won the multi-million dollar account in 2011 following a five-way pitch.

The creative account of recruitment business Maxima now also resides with Clemenger Adelaide along with SA Power Networks and Centro Shopping Centres.

The agency has also won digital work for the Australian Qualifications Network.

Earlier in 2012, Clemenger won the University of South Australia account.

“In addition to these new business wins, we’ve also had strong growth across the digital area of our agency and we now have 12 brands we’re managing in the social media space,” Boehm added.
