The new positions are designed to bolster the company’s success in the region, where it currently works with top publishers such as News Corp Australia, Seven West Media, Are Media, Val Morgan, and Weatherzone.

Robert Perry, previously director of publisher partnerships – Asia Pacific, has been appointed as regional director, Asia Pacific based in Sydney. Perry’s new role will see him grow the business in the fast-growing region, focusing on developing Taboola in the Australian, New Zealand, and Korean markets, and support both advertiser and publisher customers.

Perry brings an extensive amount of experience to the role having worked with Taboola since 2015 and with previous roles including interim VP for Asia Pacific.

Adam Payne, previously senior publisher sales manager for Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia at Taboola, has been promoted to country manager, Australia and New Zealand. Payne’s appointment will see him manage the growth and retention of agency advertising sales, publisher sales, and existing partnerships. This role will include building out the team further to reflect the country’s continued market growth. Payne brings almost 15 years’ experience to the role and has worked at Perform Group as ANZ vice president media sales and both Nine Entertainment and 10 Network in senior sales and marketing roles.

“Taboola continues to grow, working with leading publishers and advertisers in the industry,” said Adam Singolda, CEO and founder, Taboola. “Our success in the region is powered by our people, who establish great long-term relationships with partners and help to grow our support structure. The new roles for Robert and Adam and their leadership experience ensure we’re future proofing ourselves for growth.”

The appointments come as Taboola continues to expand its operations in APAC markets, including a new, expanded office in Sydney.
