Andrew Gaze Returns To 1116 SEN For Drive Show

Aussie basketball legend, Andrew Gaze, has announced his return to 1116 SEN where he will host the drive show with Andrew Maher.

The Run Home marks Gazey’s return to the airwaves following hosting duties with ESPN’s The Jump program, and commentary duties with Channel 7 during The Boomers’ historic bronze-medal-winning run at last year’s Tokyo Olympics.

The former Olympian, multiple time NBL MVP and 11-time NBL scoring champ will reunite with Maher from January 31.

“The world is always a better place when you’re in the company of Australia’s captain Andrew Gaze,” Maher said of his new co-host in a recent statement.

“Can’t think of a better daily antidote to the challenges we’re all facing than a few hours talking sport and life with this magnificent human being.”

Gazey was equally chuffed to be back at the Melbourne-based studios with his old mate.

“Andy Maher is one of the great broadcasters in the country. His knowledge of sport is unsurpassed, and he provides unique insights and humour to issues that matter,” he said.

“I’m excited and privileged to have the opportunity to sit alongside Andy for 3 hours a day and talk sport.”

SEN’s national head of radio content, Sam Thompson, said it was great to have Andy and Gazey back together once again.

“This is a partnership that’s easy to listen to; mates talking sport and having a laugh. Perfect for The Run Home each day,” she added.

The Run Home with Andy and Gazey begins Monday January 31 and will air weekdays from 3pm to 6pm on 1116 SEN.
