Total Genius Or Gloriously Daft Stunt? KFC Unveils A Gaming Console Complete With Its Own “Chicken Chamber”

KFC is known for some pretty out there marketing stunts. After all, here’s a brand that’s given us chicken-scented aftershave, Croc sandals shaped like its famous fried offering and even gravy-scented aromatic candles to set the mood!

So, the brand’s latest marketing stunt probably needs to be taken with a grain of salt (or a grain of 11 secret herbs and spices).

According to a very professional-looking ad that’s just dropped from the fast food chain, KFC apparently wants to start playing in the gaming console market against the likes of Xbox and Playstation.

The video of the “KFConsole” has had almost three million views since being posted to the KFC Gaming Twitter account.

It also promises a “chicken chamber” and “cross platform compatibility”, as well as claiming True 4K resolution with 120 frames per second gameplay.

The KFConsole looks a bit like an air fryer that’s been given a Colonel Sanders makeover in the shape of one of its famous buckets.

Check it out below:

However, all this begs the question if it even exists and, given the brand’s track record, it probably doesn’t (sad as that is to write).

Not that it hasn’t stopped KFC fans and gamers alike salivating at the idea of a chicken-branded gaming console.

Viewers taking to social media hoping the stunt was real. “Finally, the console war is over,” one person tweeted in response.

“I officially want all consoles to now come with a chamber of chicken,” penned another.

“I already wanna buy this,” tweeted another fan of the idea.
