Sunday TV Wrap: Nine’s The Voice Returns To Just Over A Million

All of the free-to-airs were back with their Sunday night big-guns last night, with Nine’s returning The Voice proving the evening’s standout.

The talent show returned with 1.012 million viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers.

That saw 10’s MasterChef post 932,000 and Seven’s House Rules do 674,000.

Nine won the night with 31.2 per cent of all the eyeballs (all channels). Seven took second and 25.3 per cent, 10 did 19.7 per cent, the ABC had 15 per cent and SBS did 8.8 per cent.

It’s 7pm news aside (774,000), viewers took to the ABC’s evening of drama. Some 583,000 tuned in to the (very dark) Mystery Road while the debuting Maralinga Tjarutja did 449,000.

Seven’s news boasted the evening’s most viewers with 1.178 million. Other standouts for the network included Seven News At Five (316,000) and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (319,000).

MasterChef aside, 10’s other doers included The Sunday Project (521,000), 10 News First (357,000) and FBI: Most Wanted (313,000).

Other notables for Nine were its 6pm news (1.132 million), 60 Minutes (698,000), Nine News Late Edition (431,000) and Nine News First At Five (318,000).
