Storytelling Agency Enthral Launches News Platform For Good News Only

Storytelling agency, Enthral has launched a new digital news platform publishing only positive and inspiring stories.

Titled The Good News, the agency has soft launched the platform on Instagram and Facebook while the site is in development. Enthral founder and former journalist Cameron Smith said it’s been in the pipeline for 18 months.

“We’ve had The Good News domain name for a while now but we decided to fast track the project because it’s what the world needs now,” Smith says.

The idea came from Smith’s time as a news reporter, chief of staff and producer at A Current Affair, Ten News and the Herald Sun.

“Friends and family were constantly telling me they didn’t watch or read the news because they simply didn’t want to be bombarded with negative stories going on around the world,” he says.

“We definitely need the news, and networks and publishers do a great job telling it, but we wanted to create a destination where people could go and be inspired and entertained by stories that put a smile on their faces.”

“It’s not news you need to hear, The Good News is news you want to hear.” The first story that launched The Good News was celebrating an iconic photo of a Melbourne bride and groom who elbow bumped instead of kissing at the alter during a wedding thrown into turmoil because of COVID-19.

“The platform has received really positive reception and we’re already being sent heart-warming stories that we can’t wait to share,” Smith says.
