Uber Snares Former Google Marketer Lucinda Barlow To Lead APAC Marketing

Uber has appointed Lucinda Barlow as senior director of marketing, APAc.

Barlow joins the rideshare company from Google, where she led product marketing for YouTube.

Commenting on the appointment, Uber SVP marketing & public affairs Jill Hazelbaker said: “I’m pleased to welcome Lucinda Barlow to the Uber marketing team as the Senior Director of Marketing, APAC, responsible for marketing our products and businesses (excluding Eats) across the Asia Pacific region (Australia & New Zealand, India & South Asia and North Asia).”

“She is uniquely positioned to lead Uber’s Asia Pacific brand, product marketing and reputation efforts, and support the continued growth of a stellar regional team.”

Barlow added: “Uber has had extraordinary impact on the lives and livelihood of millions of people. I’m thrilled to join the APAC team to help bring further mobility, freedom and opportunity in this exciting region.”

Barlow brings over 20 years experience in internet, technology and mobile business across Asia, the US and UK, spending time at BHP, Symbian and two internet startups.
