Budgy Smuggler And Playsport Launch ‘Hero To Zero’ Campaign To Celebrate Grassroots Sport

PlaySport and iconic Aussie swimwear brand Budgy Smuggler have today announced the launch of their new digital ad campaign – Hero To Zero.

The eight-episode digital ad campaign follows Jarrod Allen’s – aka ‘Tindaman’ – mission to discover and try a range of new sports (one episode per week) in his Budgy’s this summer.

Together PlaySport and Budgy Smuggler developed the ‘Hero to Zero’ eight-episode series to promote the message that participation in any sport can be fun and enjoyable. At the same time, it brings awareness to the fact that Budgy Smugglers are suitable and customisable to any sport, while any sport can be found on PlaySport.

PlaySport co-founder and CEO Ben Sanders said: “The light-hearted campaign signals a new era for sport, particularly grass roots and community activities, where everyone can participate, have fun and enjoy playing with mates.

“Brands now recognise the power that community sport has in building a more intimate connection with their customers. The power of PlaySport allows brands to create these campaigns in a quick, creative and costeffective way,” he continued.

“It also goes without saying that Budgy Smuggler has achieved “a win win” from this campaign. Not only have they deepened affection for their brand and engaged with their customers, but they have also supported local community sport organisations – which in turn, helps local clubs thrive.”
