Wednesday TV Wrap: Gruen Nails It

It may have debuted way back in 2008 but there’s still plenty of life in the ABC’s adland love-in Gruen judging by last night’s numbers.

The show pulled an impressive 758,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers and was the second most-watched entertainment show of the night.

The Block (853,000) handed Nine a Wednesday night win 29.5 per cent of the audience share (all channels). Seven did 27.9 per cent, the ABC stole third and 18.8 per cent, 10 did a neat sixteen and SBS had 7.7 per cent.

ABC’s Hard Quiz had one of its better nights with 670,000, Aunty’s 7pm news pulled 619,000, 7.30 had 536,000 and Utopia did 569,000.

Seven’s best was its 6pm news with 940,000, Home And Away had 581,000, The Chase did 498,000 and Bride & Prejudice – The Forbidden Wedding had 438,000.

10’s highlights included The Project (418,000), Bondi Rescue (324,000) and 10 News First (308,000).

Nine’s 6pm news did 788,000, ACA enjoyed 716,000, Hot Seat had 429,000 and The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story pulled 407,000.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (258,000) saw off Today (195,000)

Over at SBS, its best was Tony Robinson: Britain’s Ancient Tracks with 213,000.
