History Will Be Kind Bolsters Team With New Head Of Digital

Creative communications agency History Will Be Kind (HWBK) has supercharged its award-winning team and their focus on driving innovation in the market, with the appointment of Stuart Hood as head of digital.

Looking to capitalise on a period of stellar growth and stand out work, which has seen a string of nominations in the PR Asia Awards, Hood’s arrival is set to support the agency’s goal of being bigger, bolder and braver in 2019.

Hood brings over 15 years of digital marketing experience from a variety of roles across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, including digital marketing manager at McDonald’s, global marketing manager at Shell and senior strategy and director consulting positions at The Monkeys, CX Lavender and One Green Bean.

Hood said his mission is to further bolster HWBK’s strategic bench-strength, driving integrated digital, paid and social product and service development, and helping the agency and its clients stretch into new fields, including voice experience and how brands bring technology into their storytelling.

Hood commented: “The opportunity to work with the History team and wider Deepend Group was one I couldn’t say no to.

“The team is exceptionally talented, and since launch, the business has played a clear role in redefining the PR agency landscape.

“I’ve been keeping a close eye on their work over the past few years, and with an amazing list of clients and fantastic work coming out the doors, I’m thrilled to have the chance to drive History’s digital and strategic agenda.”

Emma-Jane (EJ) Granleese, founder and managing partner of HWBK, said that the agency is focused on doubling down on success and creating bold new moments in history for its clients.

She commented: “We’re excited to welcome Stu to our team as a key senior leader and thinker.

“Born with digital at the heart, and with an exceptional track record in cross-channel integrated consulting, Stu will play a critical role in shaping strategy and delivering incredible results for our clients through 2019 and beyond.”

HWBK is proudly part of a four-agency collective, the Deepend Group, an independent, digital communications and innovation consultancy group.

The Deepend Group portfolio includes the leading specialist agencies Deepend (Digital), How To Impact (Innovation), Nomad (Emerging Tech) and History Will Be Kind (PR/Social Media).
