9Honey Scores Exclusive Interview With PM’s Wife Ahead of Federal Election

Lifestyle network 9Honey has secured an exclusive video interview with Jenny Morrison, the wife of Prime Minister Scott Morrison, in her only solo media appearance in the lead-up to the federal election.

The video interview was published today on 9Honey, and covers Morrison’s views on family, faith and the role she plays as the wife of the newly elevated Prime Minister.

Nine editorial director Kerri Elstub said of the interview: “Jenny Morrison chose 9Honey for her only media interview because she wants to connect with the women of Australia, and 9Honey is the place to do that.

“Over the past two years 9Honey has really found its place in the lifestyle landscape and it is a testament to the 9Honey team that out of all the choices Jenny had for her only interview she chose us”.

In the interview with Nine digital content director Helen McCabe, Morrison revealed that she still drives their two daughters to and from school in the Shire despite moving to the prestigious waterfront address reserved for Australia’s Prime Ministers.

Morrison told 9Honey: “I might be the Prime Minister’s Wife, but I’m still a mum with two young girls and trying to keep things as normal as possible.

“I think maybe people picture that your life as the wife of the Prime Minister is glamorous and amazing and exciting.

But no… I’m doing the same things everyone else does. It’s hard work being a parent.

“My purpose in life is very simple: to be kind to absolutely everyone you can”.

The interview comes off a recent design overhaul as part of 9Honey‘s efforts to, as Elstub puts it: “differentiate itself by producing trusted original stories” that resonate with its mainstream female audience.
