Tip Top Celebrates 60th Birthday With ‘Slice Of Life’ Pop Up Cafe Via Magnum & Co

A key part of Australian family life for the past 60 years, this month the iconic bakery brand Tip Top is celebrating its 60th birthday with a nostalgic brand activation curated by integrated agency Magnum & Co.

To mark the occasion, Tip Top will open the doors to its first-ever pop-up café, ‘Slice of Life’, for one day only in Sydney on Tuesday 4 December, inviting Aussies to take a culinary walk down memory lane.

The café will present menu items carefully crafted to mirror life’s key milestones, with dishes including everything from ‘Fifth Birthday Fairy Bread’ to ‘Just Got A Job Smashed Avo.’

Tip Top head of brands and communications Justine Cotter said: “We’re incredibly proud of our brand heritage, so we thought it was a great opportunity to mark our 60th birthday with a celebration that has our consumers at the very core.

“We want to remind consumers of the powerful family memories they have shared with Tip Top over the last 60 years in an engaging and relevant way.”

Magnum & Co managing director Carl Moggridge said: “We were delighted to be appointed by Tip Top – an iconic Aussie brand that already holds a special place in consumers’ hearts.

“We’ve curated a menu that truly represents Australian culture – and those memorable moments as we journey through life.”

To further engage its loyal consumer base, Tip Top is turning to its fans on social media to inspire the final dish on the menu.

The ‘People’s Choice’ menu option will be chosen from community entries on Facebook – with the most popular being added to the menu and served on the day.

Tip Top is also offering one lucky superfan, and a friend, the chance to fly into Sydney to experience the Tip Top Slice of Life Pop Up Café in person.

To enter, consumers must simply share their Tip Top Bread recipes, dishes or memories via Facebook using the hashtag #tiptopturns60.
