Dentsu Aegis Network Retains $18m Disney Media Account

Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has retained Disney’s $18.2 million media buying and planning, as confirmed this morning by a DAN spokesperson.

Speaking to B&T, the DAN spokesperson said: “Dentsu Aegis Network can confirm it has successfully retained the Disney account, defending and growing a client it has proudly represented for nine years.”

Carat has worked on the account solely since 2009.

Following this news, there will now be a number of DAN agencies working on the account.

Various media sites have reported that a DAN bespoke agency will work across the Disney account, however, this is yet to be confirmed by any DAN spokesperson to B&T.

In July, DAN announced it had created a bespoke agency to service the country’s largest retailer, Woolworths Group.

The agency, Woolworths@DAN, will bring together talent from across the Network including Carat, Amplifi, Amnet, iProspect, Columbus and Posterscope.

The agency will be led by newly-appointed MD, Sarah James, who has been promoted from her previous role as chief digital officer at Carat.
