Monday TV Wrap: Few People Talking About ‘Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation’

Nine’s reboot of former Ten show Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation continues to struggle to find an audience, intergenerational or otherwise, posting disappointing numbers again last night.

The Shaun Micallef-hosted comedy show could muster just 508,000 viewers last night and is in real danger of dipping below the dreaded half-a-million mark and into the TV culling zone.

Last night’s standouts were MasterChef (873,000), House Rules (851,000) and Tens’ Have You Been Paying Attention? (809,000).

In a close tussle, Seven won the night with 27.6 per cent of the audience share, Nine was second with a neat 25 per cent, Ten had 21.3 per cent and the ABC collected 18.3 per cent. SBS pulled 7.9 per cent off  the back of the Brazil-Mexico World Cup game that had 269,000 eyeballs.

Seven’s news was the evening’s most watched show with 1.12 million. Nine’s version pulled 1.01 million and ACA had 787,000. Ten’s The Project enjoyed 572,000.

Over at the ABC, its evening went thus: ABC News (763,000), Back Roads (647,000), 7:30 (629,000), Four Corners (613,000), Media Watch (575,000), Q&A (390,000) and Think Tank (256,000).
