BMF Ramps Up Its Creative Team With New Hires

BMF has today announced a string of new hires and promotions to its creative department.

Senior art director Elizabeth Commandeur (left in photo) has joined, with over 10 years’ experience working in Sydney, New Zealand, Hong Kong and most recently Copenhagen, where she was associate creative director at VICE Scandinavia. Commandeur’s work has been awarded in Cannes, D&AD, the Webbys, Spikes, ONE Show and NYFestivals.

Creative James Sexton (middle of photo), has been promoted to senior copywriter. He moved to BMF in 2015 and his recent work for Football Federation Australia ‘You’ve Gotta Have a Team’ and Sportsbet ‘Putting the ’Roid in Android’ with Ben Johnson, has been awarded at the ONE Show, Cannes, D&AD, Clios, Spikes and LIA, amongst others.

BMF has also created a new role for Emily Field (right in photo) who, after starting at BMF in the account management team in late 2011 and then spending four years in Planning, has been promoted into a hybrid strategist and creative role.

She was named in B&T’s 30 under 30 and has been recognised across the Effies, APGs, AC&Es, Young Glory and the AWARD School Pop-up at Semi Permanent. She will now be splitting her time between the Planning and Creative departments.

BMF ECD Alex Derwin said: “It’s an exciting time for the department – we’re welcoming new and diverse talents, as well as growing our own. Emily, James and Liz are all multi-disciplinary creatives, and really lovely people.”
