Wunderman’s Anna Karena Joins Lavender As Chief Creative Officer

CX agency Lavender has announced the appointment of Anna Karena as its chief creative officer (CCO).

Karena will succeed executive creative director (ECD) Marco Eychenne, who left in October.

As CCO, Karena will take responsibility for directing Lavender’s overall customer experience design.

She returns to Lavender (which won the Employer of the Year – Over 100 Employees Category at this year’s B&T Awards) following three years at Wunderman as ECD.

Lavender chairman Will Lavender said: Karena is wise and calm, truly understands the agency’s identity.

“She was a founding team member back when we started the company, and we’re so happy to have her back in our midst,” he said.

Commenting on her appointment, Karena said: “I’m honoured and excited to lead the CX Lavender creative and design teams.

“The commitment of everyone in this company to the customer and its clients is extraordinary, and it is what makes this organisation very special.

“The most creative businesses in the world are no longer agencies, and creativity is no longer something that can exist in just one department. This role will be to draw everyone with all their diverse talents – clients included – into the CX Lavender creative-solving formula.

“Ideas are not things that live in the ether – they’re inside people. And the way they ignite is when different kinds of people – who are cognitively diverse – collaborate.”
