Latest Tullamore Dew Campaign Takes Subtle Swipe At Trump’s America

A new global campaign for Irish Whiskey brand Tullamore Dew also comes a fair splash of political messaging, too.

The ad, titled “The Beauty of the Blend”, talks about the successful blends in the Whiskey and, as the camera pans around the pub, the blends of people drinking it, too.

The ad’s narrator, played by actor Ronan Graham, brings us the old “No Irish need apply”, a reference back to a time in the US when newly arrived Irish immigrants were unjustly vilified and what we’re once again seeing under Trump’s new America.

Tullamore Dew said of the campaign: “It draws upon the history of Irish immigrants to provide a poignant but playful rejoinder, reminding audiences of the positive impact and collective importance of immigrants in building the country today.”

Check out the cool spot below which was actually shot in a bar in Dublin despite attempting to look like a bar in Brooklyn, while Graham’s monologue was reportedly done a single take.
