Google Maps Changes Name Of Margaret Court Arena Following Gay Comments

Google has cleverly shown where it stands on the recent comments by Aussie tennis legend Margaret Court about gay people by renaming the stadium in Melbourne that’s named after her on its mapping and navigation service.

If you search ‘Richmond, Victoria’ in Google Maps, Margaret Court Arena appears to be named “Evonne Goolagong Arena”, after another Aussie great, which was suggested by former tennis star and proud lesbian Martina Navratilova.

However, the stadium’s name still appears correctly if you search “Margaret Court Arena”.

The cheeky move from Google comes after Court publicly voiced her opposition to same-sex marriage, saying it went against the teachings of the Bible.
