Haystac Takes Off In 2017 With Skyscanner Win

Haystac has won the national account for Skyscanner Australia following a four-way competitive pitch. The account encompasses all PR services for Skyscanner in the Australian market, including data mining and analysis, creative, media relations, profiling and speaking opportunities.

Founded in 2003, Skyscanner is a leading global travel search company, helping over 60 million people each month to find their travel options, from flights, to hotels, to car hire.

Skyscanner’s free mobile app has been downloaded over 50 million times and is available in 30 languages. Skyscanner employs over 800 staff and has ten offices across the world: Barcelona, Beijing, Budapest, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Miami, Shenzhen, Singapore and Sofia.

National general manager of Haystac Jason Carnew described the win as an energising start to 2017 for the team. “Skyscanner has been a leader in its category for a significant period of time, both in terms of its business model, and how it approaches its category.

“Not only is this a big win for Haystac, but it aligns to the type of work we love to do which is to work with brands that have big aspirations, are focused on data-driven decision making and appreciate the power of creativity in PR.”

Senior marketing manager at Skyscanner Australia Emily Callahan said it was Haystac’s experience and creativity which helped them stand out from the crowd.

“We felt a mutual understanding with Haystac in terms of our aspirations and how to achieve them, and we’re excited to work more closely with the team from this point forward.”
